Cinclus cinclus
This time of year on finnish photo forums are lot of images of this bird – of course lot better than this. First: Photograph black and dark brown bird against snow and ice when there is practically little on no light at all. Maybe because we don’t have this bird on summer. Second: They come to Finland for example from North-Norway. Leave home country and come to Finland on winter. I don’t understand.
After all, this is very sympatic, familiar and active bird.

Vesisateet veivät lumet mennessään. Lumen alta paljastuu jää sen vangiksi jääneet rantaheinät.
The rain came and snow went away. After that remained ice and hays that it had captured.

Kaksi vuotta sitten suunnilleen samaan aikaan lähteessä ei ollut yhtään jäätä. Miten niin tämä talvi on ollut lämmin.
Two years ago about this same time there was no ice on this pond. And they say that this winter has been warm.
Hippiäinen – The goldcrest (Regulus regulus)
Hippiäinen on ärsyttävä lintu. Ääni kuuluu kaukaa ja jotain hahmoja liikkuu tummassa metsässä puusta puuhun, melkein näkee. Paitsi ei aina. Tällä kertaa sain kiinni. (Hippiäinen on Suomen pienin lintu.) Boonuksena käpytikka parin viikon takaa.
This bird is irritating. You can heard it’s voice and see some characters moving from tree to tree in dark forest. Except not always. This time I caught it. (The Goldcrest is smallest bird in Finland.) As a bonus The Great Spotted woodpecker from couple weeks ago.
